At the discounted sale price and added discounts of roughly $134 shipped to my door, I couldn't pass up that deal. For that price these binos are a steal. Nice and compact for 10x binos. Comes with nice carry case. Controls are all nice and smooth. Can't beat the Vortex Lifetime Warranty. Was only able to test them on my back patio under a cloud covered winter day, but clarity seems pretty good. Would need more time in the field with them. For the price I just wanted to have a back-up pair of binos if my primary pair (old pair of Zeiss Classic 10x40's ever failed). Just comparing the two, they seemed very close (mind you my Zeiss are old and do not have HD glass, but they are Zeiss nonetheless). Are these going to compare against your high end glass, obviously not. But for the price I paid I'm happy with them. To pay full price in the $250-$300 range there will be stiff competition and I'd have to compare like binos SxS, but overall I'm happy with them.
