- The PENTAX 06 TELEPHOTO ZOOM lens for Q-series cameras covers focal lengths between 15mm-45mm, or 83mm-249mm in 35mm format, and a maximum aperture of F2.8 throughout its entire zoom range. Since the focal-length range is linked to that of the PENTAX 02 STANDARD ZOOM lens, the photographer can enjoy seamless zoom coverage from wide angle to telephoto by combining these two lenses.
- Super-compact and ultra-lightweight:
- This lens is super-compact and ultra-lightweight by design, measuring in a 2.2 inches in length and 2.0 inches in diameter, and weighing in at a mere 3.2 ounces. This extremely compact, light lens is designed to enhance ease of carrying and maneuverability. Also, by turning the zoom ring to click-stop storage maker, the front portion of the lens can be retracted and locked into the lens barrel, further reducing overall length.
- Super Protect (SP) coating:
- Super Protect (SP) coating is applied to the front surface of the optics to block dust and dirt.
- Two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and one super-low dispersion glass element: In order to optimize exceptional image rendition, this zoom lens incorporates two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and one super-low dispersion glass element in its optics to effectively compensate for chromatic aberration over the entire zoom range.
- Quick-Shift focus system: The Quick-Shift focus system allows for instant switching to manual focus operation after the subject is captured in focus by the camera's AF system.
