The Meade DS-2130ATS 5" 130mm Computer Telescope Newtonian Reflector is a powerful computer-guided telescope that will take you on a guided tour of the night sky. The DS-2130ATS Telescope features a large 5" 130mm aperture, the most light-gathering capability of any DS-2000 Series Telescopes. With the 5 inch aperture, you can enter the true realm of the galaxies. Through the telescope, more surface detail in planets and more cloud structure in nebulas can be seen. The largest aperture in the DS-2000 family also offers brighter views of planets, clusters, nebulas, and galaxies. The LNT (Level North Technology) Module of DS 2130 ATS 130mm Reflector Meade Telescope features electronic compass, electronic level, precise time, advanced red projection-point SmartFinder. The Meade Smart Finder helps novices with one of the early frustrating parts of astronomy: Centering objects in the finder scope. This is achieved by centering the red dot on the object you want to see. Then move to your telescope 's eyepiece for a closer look. The SmartFinder finder scope is upgraded from the previous generation of DS-2000 telescopes with new multi-coated optics for locating objects quick and easy.

The Meade Reflecting Telescope DS-2130 ATS features the DS-2000 Altazimuth mount, providing a more fluent motion in altitude and azimuth. The DS-2000 Altazimuth mount also has great accuracy on automatic "Go-To", bringing stars even closer to the center of the eyepiece. Meade Telescope DS2130ATS 5" Reflector comes with quick release adjustable aluminum tripod with accessory shelf. This tripod is more sturdy and robust, with thicker and more solid legs than the previous generation of DS-2000 telescopes.
